Having the opportunity to simply deepen your bond with your pet and get to know them better is a wonderful use of animal communication. I promise, you are already communicating telepathically with your pet everyday. They are masters of this type of communication, and understand WAY more than they are given credit for. I am offering you the chance to hear what your pet has to say to you, and believe me, they do have things to say! They are insightful and wise, funny and intelligent, observers and teachers. You have a soul contract with every pet that comes into your life, for however short or long a time, and they are all here to help you and teach you in some way.
Animal communication provides the opportunity to offer the animal a feeling of security and safety in a stressful, unfamiliar situation. It can also help offer insight into the type of forever family the animal both desires to be adopted into or, sometimes even more importantly, not adopted into. This is my favorite type of session other than Rainbow Bridge sessions. Allowing the animal to communicate their idea of a perfect home for themselves can often alleviate any future issues with being returned to the shelter or abandoned. I love playing a small part in them finding their future happiness after a rough beginning. I do require that if we are going to ask for their preferences in this situation, that your intention is to abide by those wishes to the highest degree possible. I do not wish to give them the idea that their desires matter if they can not, or will not, be honored.
A connection session can be a beautiful way to learn what your pet needs during this phase of life. As they age, you can move forward with confidence knowing you are honoring their wants and needs in regard to navigating difficult end-of-life preparations and decisions. They are often more concerned about you than they are themselves during this time, but often do have final wishes that you can fulfill for them.
Animal communication can be an immensely powerful tool in navigating behavioral issues. Although I cannot guarantee a behavioral change, as animals have their own minds and emotional baggage just as humans do, simply knowing where the behavior is coming from and gaining insights from your pet on ways to improve the situation can be extremely rewarding. Animals are surprisingly solutions oriented, and often come up with incredibly creative options and compromises in these situations. I am not a certified behaviorist or trainer, so please be prepared to follow up with a suitable professional in the event additional support is called for.
Being able to communicate with an abused, injured, or otherwise traumatized animal and explain what has happened, where they are, and that they are now safe and loved can be invaluable in creating an emotionally and physically healing environment.
Although every situation and animal is different, a communication session can be immensely helpful in discovering the individual perspectives of the animals involved and allow for understanding, grace and compromise. Each animal has the opportunity to have their voice heard and to offer their own thoughts on how a solution may be reached that benefits all parties involved. Again, as with humans, not all situations can be 100% resolved, but more often than not, significant improvement and satisfactory compromise can be achieved.
It can be a challenge for many pets to remain calm and well-behaved in these types of situations. Their stress and anxiety can get the best of them resulting in injuries to themselves or their human care providers. Animal communication can significantly help by letting the animal know what to expect, that they are safe, and what sort of behavior is appropriate.
I can be helpful at giving you an idea where your pet may be feeling discomfort, as well as the degree of pain, if any, that they are currently in. I can also ask your pet how certain medicines may or may not be helping and if the meds are causing any unpleasant side effects. I am not a veterinarian or vet tech, so please be prepared to seek the advice of a licensed medical professional for any medical issue your pet may be experiencing. Animal communication is never a substitute for medical care and I will not be able to address any of these issues with you and your pet unless I am convinced that you are currently receiving or promptly intending to seek professional treatment. The animal’s well being is always my top priority.
Marriage, births, moves, deaths, illness, etc. are all situations in which animal communication is beneficial. These major life changes can cause a great deal of stress and both physical and emotional upheaval for pets and their humans. Offering your pet a way to express their concerns and provide them explanations regarding the situation can head off many potentially negative outcomes.
It is inevitable that humans and wildlife will come into contact, especially as the human populations encroach on more and more land that was previously inhabited primarily by wildlife. Animals are just doing their best to survive and raise and protect their young, which often brings them into proximity to human dwellings, farms, livestock and pets. Animal communication can be invaluable in offering insight into both sides of a human-wildlife conflict thus helping to reach a solution that doesn’t result in the use of lethal deterrents. Once the perspective of each side can be heard and understood by the other, it is often possible to come to a solution that is acceptable to both, even if that solution is sometimes to steer clear and no harm will come to you. I once made an agreement with nests of yellow jackets and wasps for access to fresh clean water 24/7 in exchange for zero aggression toward the people and animals on the property that is still going strong after 3 years without a single altercation.
Animal communication can be a helpful tool in locating a lost pet, however there are significant limitations involved. The missing pet is often frightened, confused, and easily startled into motion. Getting them to calm down enough to offer detailed information about how far they have travelled, what their surroundings look like, and what direction they have gone can be difficult, if not impossible. Getting them to stay put long enough to be found can be incredibly challenging, as well. Often they are in survival mode and won’t even come to their owners if they hear or see them, especially cats, who will often refuse to come out of hiding at all. In some less common cases, again typically involving cats, the pet is enjoying their adventure and refuses to come home until they’re good and ready! While I have participated in many lost animal cases, I am not currently offering lost pet services due to the tremendous emotional toll and time commitment involved.
